Odhise Grillo lindi në vitin 1932 në Vuno të Himarës dhe vdiq në Tiranë më 24 shtator të vitit 2003 është
shkrimtar i njohur shqiptar i cili dha nje kontribut jashtzakonisht te madh per letrsine shqiptare.
Studioi gjuhën dhe letërsin shqipe në Universitetin e Tiranës më 1962.
Medalja "2000 Millenium" e institutit biografik nderkombetar te Amerikes (ABI) iu dhurua shkrimtarit te madh bashkekohore te letersise për femije Odhise Grillo. Medalja është mirenjohje qe u jipet krijuesve te shquar te vendeve te ndryshme te botes, te cilet e meritojne te hyne ne rradhen e personave me te shquar te mijvjecarit tone. Shkrimtari Grillo ka botuar mbi 80 libra për femije ne proze, poezi, studime kritike dhe te tjera. Grillo është shperblyer dhe mirenjohur nga qendra biografike e Cambridge-it ne Angli (IBC), nga instituti nderkombetar i studimeve te letersise për femije dhe te rinj ne Munchen me romanin për femije "Historia e Skenderbeut", sipas vepres se Naim Frasherit. Kjo vepër e Grillos hyne ne fondin e librave me te mire te dhjetvjecarit te fundit. TIRANE, August 4 (ATA) - By O. Kadaifciu: The Albanian literature for children will be comprised for the first time in the Swiss school programs. The story entitled "When one weeps from joy", written by the distinguished children's writer, Odhise Grillo, will be published in the literature text books of upper-grade pupils of elementary schools. Odhise Grillo is awarded the first price in the competition organized on the best creativity bearing the theses of the Kosove tragedy, proclaimed by the Swedish publishing house "Orell Fussly" In the focus of the story is a Kosovar child mutilated during the war days, who dreams of being back to his Motherland and who is afterwards repatriated back home. Odhise Grillo was the only writer from Albania who took part in this competition organized two months ago. He is known as one of the most renowned Albanian writers in the literature for children. Poems for children, poetry, fairy tales, translations and the like are involved in his 130 creations. /lh/A.A/
